GTE2008 (Garment Technology Expo), as the largest garment technology expo in India, attracted not only a lot of western countries’ traders, but more and more Chinese garment technology exhibition traders whose status have become more and more important in the international garment machinery industry. GTE in January 2008 did not only pay more attention to the attraction of Chinese enterprises in garment machinery exhibiting, but fabric and accessories companies on a large scale.

Recently, GTE Company’s manager Mr. Richy Sahni and Secretary Mr. Ambrish Chopra visited China, cooperating with SGMZ as GTE’s Strategic Global Partner to launch the promotion of GTE-2008 to Chinese garment machinery, fabrics and accessories companies . Mr. Sahni introduced, they would pay more attention to getting more fabrics and accessories companies joined in 2008 Expo which was different from the past to some extent. In India, there was no special and large scale of fabrics and accessories exhibition so far. If more fabrics and accessories could be displayed in GTE, it can make GTE become the real garment technology expo on scale and meaning.

On September 23, 2007, with the help of SGMZ, Mr. Richy Sahni met with some representatives of fabrics and accessories companies who had the purpose to participate in GTE-2008 and both sides exchanged ideas and understood each other in depth. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Shen Jia, Vice president of SGMZ. He introduced the relevant situations of GTE exhibition to everybody at first, and the gradually prosperous clothing industry in India. He also mentioned that Chinese fabrics and accessories companies were very popular at GTE as well. Learnt the relevant introduction, the representatives expressed their willingness to participate in GTE and would spend sufficient time to prepare for it.
